Assemblage Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at JB Harris Group. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and experience operating various heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, graders, and excavators.

• Complete the assembly of partially constructed heavy machinery using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.
• Unpack, install, and remove machine parts.
• Operate equipment, including backing up, tilting, raising, or lowering attachments, or other machine movements to ensure proper assembly.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Read and understand machine manuals and schematics for assembly purposes.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety regulations.
• Participate in safety meetings and all required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in operating different types of heavy equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Ability to read and understand machine manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems used in construction and agricultural equipment.
• Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to use a sledgehammer, power tools, and endure tool vibrations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs overhead and work at heights of up to 15 feet.
• Capability to complete a full workday walking and/or standing in various weather conditions.
• Steel-toed boots/shoes.
• A valid current driver's license.

• Experience with specific equipment brands or models used in our facility.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs.

• Primarily outdoor work in a storage yard environment.
• Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
