About the Role

As a seasoned DevOps Engineer/Github Administrator, we're looking for an expert to lead our migration from Self-hosted/on-prem Github Enterprise Server (GHES) to GitHub Enterprise cloud/SaaS (GHEC).

Mission and Goals
  • To successfully migrate multiple large enterprises from various source code management systems to GitHub SaaS.
  • To design, build and maintain GitHub's services in collaboration with our global team of passionate engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute complex migrations from diverse source code management systems, ensuring seamless integration with GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
  2. Leverage expertise in GitHub Actions, runners, and CI/CD pipelines to drive automation and scalability.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement reliable solutions, addressing potential risks and roadblocks.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and GitHub platform developments to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • No less than 5-8 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, preferably with extensive experience in migrating enterprise-level platforms.
  • Deep understanding of GitHub Actions, runners, CI/CD, and automation concepts, as well as proficiency in working with APIs.
  • Proven track record of successful migrations and implementations across various source code management systems.
  • A strong background in software development, IT operations, or a related field, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
What We Offer

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment that fosters growth and innovation.
