Job Description: Foster Care Therapist

As a Foster Care Therapist at MedlinkHealth Anesthesia, you will play a vital role in providing mental health treatment and case management services to children and families within the foster care system. Your expertise will help guide these individuals through challenging circumstances and support their well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive mental health treatment and case management services to foster children and their families.
  • Conduct therapy sessions in various settings, including homes and community locations, tailored to the individual needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique challenges faced by foster children.
  • Provide behavioral therapy interventions aimed at improving school behavior and overall individual functioning.
  • Coordinate and integrate services provided by multiple service providers to ensure seamless care for each child.
  • Maintain flexible work schedules and be readily available via phone to respond to client needs.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a professional license in social work (LMSW), counseling (LPC), or psychology (LLP) or the respective limited license.
  • Hold a master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Have a minimum of 8 months of experience providing mental health treatment to minors. This may include clinical internship experiences gained during your master's program.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency, effective communication skills, and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
