Radiation Therapy Team Lead

Job Summary:

As a Radiation Therapy Team Lead at UNC Health Care, you will play a vital role in the coordination and supervision of the radiation treatment team. This includes simulation, radiation therapy, and staff therapist responsibilities, ensuring radiotherapy prescriptions plans are executed accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our Radiation Oncologist and team to promote effective clinical care for all patients.

Contribute to the development and quality improvement of the Radiation Oncology Program.

Ensure daily and weekly quality control and assurance tasks are performed.

Audit and amend billing codes to ensure procedural codes are accurate.

Identify and report unsatisfactory setups to the team, Radiation Oncologist, Dosimetrist, Physicist, and Management.

Responsible for accurate submission of treatment charges and code management.

Provide input to manager on decision-making and problem-solving activities. Provide work direction and scheduling for therapist.

Participate in chart rounds and quality improvement teams to achieve targeted results.

Requirements:

Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited education program in Radiologic Technology/Radiation Therapy Program.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy.

Basic Life Support required.

5 years of experience as a radiation therapist with comprehensive clinical knowledge to include treatment delivery and simulation is required.

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
