Nursing Station Technician Med/Surg Position

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career in healthcare? As a Nursing Station Technician Med/Surg, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the nursing team on a fast-paced medical-surgical unit.

About This Role:

  • Under the direct supervision of a professional nurse, you will provide excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • You will be responsible for patient care, including personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding.
  • Setting up and maintaining patient rooms, ordering and stocking supplies, and answering telephone calls as able are also key responsibilities.
  • Additionally, you will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification is required.
  • You must be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
  • One or more of the following qualifications are also required: successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program, six months of recent direct care experience, current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, or current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
