Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer

Alpha Matrix is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain electrical control systems, including drive, controls, and SCADA systems.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, including testing and troubleshooting circuits.
  • Create and update electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Conduct training of customer employees on proper adjustments and operations.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate projects to ensure on-time completion within budget.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in controls or electrical engineering.
  • Knowledgeable with National Electric Code.
  • Experience in automation, drive, and control systems.
  • PLCs knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix.
  • Ability to develop PLC programs in function block and structural text.
  • Drive experience with AB Powerflex and ABB.
  • Knowledge of HMI software; Factory Talk Studio, RSView 32, AVEVA (Wonderware) and Intellution.
  • Knowledge of Data collection systems including AVEVA (Wonderware) Historian and Intellution.
  • Ability to be self-directed and a self-starter.
  • Ability to execute multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills among all levels of the organization.
  • Hands-on ability to work through symptoms and get to root problem.
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
