Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $34.58 - $51.87 per hour, with opportunities for professional growth and development. As a Behavioral Health Occupational Therapist, you will have the chance to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

 

Job Description

As a Behavioral Health Occupational Therapist at Adventist HealthCare, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients with basic rehabilitation needs in acute care, outpatient, or inpatient settings. Your duties will include:

  • Performing initial examinations and evaluations to establish impairment/diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care
  • Providing therapy interventions consistent with the results of the examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care
  • Communicating and coordinating with members of the care team to ensure effective patient management
  • Supervising and directing the activities of assigned rehab aides, office assistants, and volunteers
  • Managing schedules and caseloads to accommodate varying patient loads

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Behavioral Health Occupational Therapist, you will need:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • 1-year site-specific experience (preferred)
  • Active Maryland License
  • AHA HCP CPR certification
  • CLT certification from Klose or Norton (for lymphedema therapists)
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
