Education Specialist for K-12 Student Support

This full-time position is available for a highly skilled Education Specialist to provide student support services in a K-12 setting.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $48 - $58 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role in supporting students' academic and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and developmental levels.
- Interpreting assessment results to inform instructional planning, intervention strategies, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and behavior management strategies.
- Providing counseling and support services to students individually or in group settings, addressing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Consulting with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to foster effective partnerships and support students' overall well-being and academic success.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, including 504 meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and contributing expertise in addressing students' needs and goal-setting.
- Staying current with research, best practices, and legal requirements related to school psychology and special education.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- A valid license or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment results.
- Solid knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
- A strong understanding of various behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support systems.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
