Salary Information

The salary for this position varies based on location, with a range of $105,100/year in the lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in the highest geographic market. Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Design Engineer - Senior Electrical Systems Expert to join our team. In this role, you will lead design projects for operational data centers, focusing on remediation, upgrades, and new service additions. You will own the electrical design process, providing lifecycle support from design through implementation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing existing data center upgrades and adding new infrastructure, capacity, improving availability, and increasing sustainability
  • Preparing and reviewing short circuit coordination studies and maintaining software models for as-built site conditions
  • Performing design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region
  • Interfacing with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards for consistency and reliability
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ cumulative years of design experience in industrial or commercial engineering, specifically in Mission Critical facilities like data centers, power generation, and oil/gas facilities
  • Cross-functional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Organized approach with strong prioritization and time management skills
