Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused Host to join our team.

The Host is key to a successful operation, responsible for greeting each guest as they arrive at the restaurant and supporting the service team in delivering memorable hospitality to our guests.

This individual must be quick on their feet and have an engaging attitude, setting the tone for the guests' visit and ensuring their needs are met while they wait.

Your Role:

  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant area.
  • Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
  • Estimate wait times for guests and monitor the guest waiting list.
  • Ensure that the guest's needs are met while they are waiting.
  • Answer the telephone, book reservations, and move tables together to accommodate large parties.

Qualifications:

  • 6 months to a year of restaurant experience in an independent restaurant or hotel is recommended but not required.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor, and fellow employees.
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule to include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • This is a daytime position working primarily breakfast and lunch shift hours.
  • Must be able to manage guest requests and/or complaints.

Please note that this position requires extended periods on your feet with frequent long walks around the internal areas of the hotel along with considerable physical activity on a continuous basis, up to and including entire shifts.
