Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Employer Health Center in Columbus, IN. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, taking patient histories and physical examinations, obtaining vital signs, and performing medical tests as required.
- Collaborate with physicians and other licensed professionals to arrange further medical treatment when needed.
- Identify equipment that requires repair and report it to the lead clinician.
- Perform occupational and health screening tests as defined in the site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
- Conduct laboratory tests and quality control procedures as necessary.
- Accurately document all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow-up care arranged.
- Evaluate patients' education and promotion needs, providing necessary training and instruction.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide care within the scope of practice.
- Administer medications and medical treatments competently, as directed by physicians or licensed professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic medical record software.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
- Participate in follow-up phone calls and patient visits as needed.
Requirements
- Certificate from an accredited nursing school or Associate's degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.
- Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Certification in Emergency Nursing, or Certificate in Case Management is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
- Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Premise Health Systems offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, and vacation time. We also offer a company-sponsored wellness program and opportunities for professional growth and development.
