Seasonal Steward

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Seasonal Steward to join our team at The Trustees of Reservations. As a key member of our Stewardship team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our historic properties in the Greater Boston area.

• Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, pruning, and leaf removal.
• Oversee the maintenance of all structures, including janitorial duties, painting, and light carpentry.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working order through proper use and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain positive relationships with visitors, staff, and community members.
• Assist with projects on other Trustees properties as required.

• 1-3 years of experience in property, landscape, or facilities management.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to work independently.
• Awareness of aesthetic quality in landscape management.
• Ability to repair and maintain equipment.
• Attention to detail and positive attitude.

This is a seasonal position, working outdoors during the fall and winter seasons. You will be exposed to direct sunlight, snow, wind, and occasional rain. You will work in public spaces, interacting with visitors, volunteers, and staff members.

This role requires the ability to handle physical demands, including lifting 50 lbs and working in all weather conditions. You must be able to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time and work from ladders.
