About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Cost Engineer to join our team at Clayco. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for developing and managing the project financial strategy, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project cost budget allowances and targets.
  • Review project documents and specifications to identify, develop, and track change orders, baseline estimates, and potential risk exposures.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate integration of information for billings, payment applications, and change orders.
  • Communicate with project management team, executive management personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency in cost management deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of project cost experience, with preferred experience in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of project development stages, procurement, project controls, and construction execution practices.
  • Working knowledge of applicable computer software, such as PMWeb or similar project portfolio management software.
