Overview:

Marksman Security Corporation is actively seeking a Flexible Security Officer.

Candidates must demonstrate adaptability in their scheduling and be prepared to work during weekends, evenings, and holidays as required. The ability to respond to assignments with minimal notice is essential.

Compensation: $17-$19/hr with 24/7 on-call availability.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in security roles is mandatory.
  • An active NC Security License is required.

Ideal applicants will possess a background in security officer roles, security guard positions, or related safety and protection fields, including customer service experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and acknowledge all residents and guests in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Manage guest and visitor access and take necessary actions against trespassers or violators.
  • Verify the credentials of individuals and vehicles entering and exiting the premises.
  • Maintain a visitor log and inform residents of visitor arrivals.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to protect individuals and property.
  • Monitor for suspicious activities to prevent vandalism, theft, or other criminal acts.
  • Oversee surveillance systems and alarms.
  • Conduct patrols of the property to identify safety and security risks.
  • Address violations such as loitering or possession of prohibited items.
  • Respond to emergencies, alarms, and distress calls by contacting local authorities.
  • Report any safety or security concerns promptly.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of required documentation.
  • Enforce all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid state licensing is necessary, if applicable.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance are expected.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of security experience is required.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug tests.
  • This role may involve physical activities such as crawling, crouching, climbing, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods.
