Wrestling Coach Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a qualified Wrestling Coach to join our team at the Alabama Department of Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and directing a regular program of practice in the season, maintaining competency in rules, regulations, and coaching techniques for the sport, and adhering to the MPS Athletics Code of Ethics and Conduct for Sports Coaches.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Acts under the direction of the head coach
* Plans and directs a regular program of practice in the season
* Maintains competency in rules, regulations, and coaching techniques for the sport
* To adhere to the MPS Athletics Code of Ethics and Conduct for Sports Coaches
* Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sports

**Requirements:**

* Knowledgeable in the techniques and strategies for the sport/activity
* Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
* Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches' Education Program
* Ability to perform duties with an awareness of all district requirements and board policies
