As a Radiation Therapist, you will administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. You will also review patient charts and identification to validate actual treatment dosages delivered during each session. Additionally, you will prepare and construct equipment such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices, and educate and reassure patients and their families regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field.
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, treatment plans, and delivery.
Working Conditions: This is a part-time position, working approximately 0.03 FTE, or 13 hours per week, with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year. The estimated salary for this position is around $68,000 based on the location and the level of experience required.
