Oncology Patient Care Coordinator

As an Inpatient Hematology BMT Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to adult hematologic-oncology patients. Your responsibilities will include administering chemotherapy, managing complex medical needs, and ensuring a safe therapeutic environment. You will also work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide individualized nursing strategies and promote patient comfort and well-being. To be considered for this position, applicants must have a current RN license and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider or ONS Chemo / Biotherapy Fundamentals Provider certification is also preferred. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing with plans to complete a Bachelor's Degree within one year of employment start date is required.
What You Will Do
You will deliver phenomenal care for adult hematologic-oncology, autologous and allogeneic blood and marrow transplantation patients, and patients receiving CAR T-cell therapy. You will be asked to provide the following services: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy administration and management, including investigational protocols, Transfusion of blood, platelets, and fresh frozen plasma. You will be responsible for the management of patients with radiation implants, central venous access devices, and spinal drains.
