Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiologic and psychosocial health status, identifying potential risks and developing individualized care plans.
- Care Coordination
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Medication Administration
Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Patient Education
Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Documentation and Communication
Accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare teams, ensuring timely and efficient care.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing (required) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- BLS/ACLS/NRP/NCC EFM/AWHONN certifications required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
$52-$100/hour
