About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Aramark. As a Cook, you will play a critical role in preparing and serving high-quality food to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to standardized recipes and production guidelines.
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
- Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives.
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation.
- Ensure security of company assets.
Requirements:
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
