Labor Attorney Wanted

Hayes, Ortega & Sánchez, LLP is a leading union-side labor law firm with offices in Los Angeles County and San Diego County. We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team in Monrovia, California.

The successful candidate will primarily represent our clients in administrative hearings, making opening statements, taking direct testimony, cross-examining adverse witnesses, making objections, and drafting closing briefs. The cases primarily involve discipline or contract interpretation.

New associates receive comprehensive training, including attending lectures and hearings to observe the proceedings.

• A Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing with the California Bar.
• An excellent command of the English language, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in briefs and oral argument.
• Ability to perform legal research.
• Willingsness to travel occasionally.

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide an excellent benefits package that includes fully paid healthcare premiums, life insurance, long-term disability, sick leave, vacation, and automatic contributions of 3% to an ABA 401k plan after one year.
