Role Summary: The Nurse Supervisor plays a crucial role in applying management principles and nursing philosophies to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. This position entails administrative responsibilities that facilitate the efficient operation of healthcare services. The Nurse Supervisor employs the nursing process to guarantee continuity and excellence in care for diverse patient populations, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Qualifications:
Education: A foundational understanding of nursing principles is essential. A Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or psychology is preferred. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program.
Experience: A minimum of five years in a Staff Nurse role, with experience as a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nursing Manager, is preferred to develop the necessary skills and knowledge for this position.
Licensure: A valid New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
Work Environment: This is a full-time position with standard hours of 36.00 per week. The work schedule includes night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with alternating weekends and rotating holidays.
