As a Parts Mover at Selmet, you will play a crucial role in the movement of all parts within the backend processes. Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate part movement between all backend processes, off-site and within the building.
• Ensure accurate and complete paperwork prior to transfer to the next location.
• Perform alkaline wash and/or mask castings as required.
• Facilitate expediting needs as outlined by the Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Area Leads.
• Report schedule and product flow interruptions.
• Coordinate all backend tool movement requirements.
Requirements:
• Solid job history with 1 year at recent or prior employer preferred.
• Ability to read and obtain a basic knowledge and understanding of written materials with on-the-job training.
• Basic high-school level math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to understand measurements; read and use measurement tools correctly.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible on shift including working swing or weekends.
• Desire to work with your hands in a production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possess relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Ability to take a baseline hearing test prior to starting.
Working Conditions:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to use tool movement devices (carts, cranes, forklift).
• Job performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.
Schedule:
Weekend Day Shift - Friday/Saturday/Sunday (3x12) $1.25/hour shift differential
