Position Overview:
The Aero Mechanical Field Engineer will manage site operations, including planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources such as personnel, tools, and technical support to meet project requirements effectively.

This role requires decision-making within established guidelines, applying concepts to intricate issues, and addressing challenges through immediate actions or short-term strategies at customer facilities.

The position entails the installation and upkeep of Gas Turbines.

The Aero Mechanical Field Engineer will report to the Plant Manager or the designated Team Leader.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, execute, coordinate, and/or monitor site activities related to Aero Mechanical systems.
  • Conduct on-site installation of systems and equipment, along with ongoing preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations post-installation.
  • Perform Borescope Inspections for designated units.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks for various units, including Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 maintenance.
  • Respond to urgent repair requests for malfunctioning equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
Administrative Duties:

Manage administrative tasks such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, obtaining quotations, preparing job status updates, and maintaining accurate time and expense records.

Ensure all changes are documented appropriately.

Promote customer satisfaction through a commitment to quality.

Maintain a strong safety focus to ensure that all work complies with Prism Engineering's safety standards.

Possess the knowledge to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checks on a wide range of equipment.


Mentor and train other Field Engineers and team members as necessary to enhance field engineering and product knowledge.

Prepare timely and precise technical reports for customer documentation and future reference.

Ensure all necessary parts for the job are available on-site.

Conduct walk-downs during installation to verify that contractors are performing correctly.

Implement aftermarket upgrades as required at the site level.

Be willing to work in rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends, as dictated by field assignments.

Frequent travel to various project sites and field assignments will be necessary.

May be assigned additional responsibilities to help advance Prism Engineering's vision and align with our core values.

Qualifications:
Possess a technical or university degree or equivalent experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years in a Field Services role.

Fluency in English, Spanish, or French (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.

Have at least 5 years of experience in field services or maintenance of power generation equipment.

Experience with OEM equipment is preferred.

Successful completion of required training programs is mandatory.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of Gas Turbine operations and control parameters.


Exhibit strong technical skills in interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams and using alignment and thermal growth equipment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications is essential.

Possess strong communication and leadership skills.

Demonstrate organizational and project management capabilities.

Basic knowledge of HSE, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001 is beneficial.
