Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall fleet efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and vehicle inspections, using industry-standard software and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
- Minimum of two to four years of experience as a heavy truck fleet mechanic or diesel technician.
- Diagnostic, electrical, and AC skills are essential for this role.
- Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment is required.
- Previous fleet experience and familiarity with diesel and gasoline systems are highly desirable.
- Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills to resolve complex technical issues.
- Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred) and ASE certification are desirable but not required.
