Painting Specialist

At Johnson Controls, we are seeking a highly skilled Painting Specialist to join our team in a key role that requires expertise in industrial coatings. This position is ideal for individuals with prior painting experience and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.

This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and punctuality. The Painting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and set up, mixing paint of various finishes, and applying coats as needed. Additionally, this role involves recording wet and dry mil readings, temperature, dew point, and relative humidity readings, as well as documenting daily paint usage.

• Mix and apply paint of various finishes to meet specifications
• Maintain all equipment, including sandblasters and spray booths
• Record and report data on wet and dry mil readings, temperature, and other environmental factors
• Daily paint usage documentation

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Prior painting experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
