Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team on a part-time basis, working weekend shifts. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a culture of excellence and compassion.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physiological, emotional, sociocultural, spiritual, and financial status, considering lifestyle preferences and learning needs.
- Develop patient-centered plans of care to promote health and optimize wellness, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide competent and innovative patient care and education, based on patient complexity, acuity, and nursing judgment, within a culture of caring and safety.
- Document nursing assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and patient/family response.
- Determine patient progress toward achieving goals and revise plans of care as needed, in collaboration with patients/families.
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate the effectiveness of tasks performed by LPNs or UAPs, considering scope of practice, training, competence, population served, experience, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research, and contribute to department-based projects and continual learning.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers.
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within 6 months of hire.
- Current Wisconsin State Nursing License.
