Key Responsibilities

The Home Health Aide will be responsible for:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, including bathing, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's health status.
  • Providing companionship and social interaction to enhance the client's quality of life.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Documenting care provided and communicating effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Certification as a Nurse Aide or equivalent training.
  • Ability to complete a minimum of 40 hours of training within the first six months of employment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in a home health setting or with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
Skills Required

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Critical thinking abilities and the capacity to follow detailed instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR.
  • Reliable transportation for client appointments and errands.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift at least 60 pounds and perform physical tasks related to client care.
