Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the preparation of SMT kits prior to the production floor, including material transactions, material movement, storage, and feeder and basket loading using SMT prep techniques and inventory and storage practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort, count, and check raw materials, finished, and semi-finished parts.
  • Handle raw materials in compliance with internal electrostatic discharge policies and procedures.
  • Issue material to work orders and follow bill of material and work order routing.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy at all levels, maintaining inventory on hand and stockroom data files.
  • Perform required cycle counts and audits stocking locations to ensure system transaction accuracy.
  • Perform physical inventories as required.
  • Understand SMT components and feeder/machine attrition.
  • Understand and research inventory discrepancies and ensure internal specifications are met and traceability requirements are 100% accurate.
  • Ensure kit preparation is in compliance with standards and internal documentation.
  • Occasionally work overtime and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for long periods of time required.
  • Basic reading and writing (English language) and math ability required.
  • Strong MRP skills and computer literacy required.
  • Strong background in SMT and manufacturing required.
