Job Summary:

The Respiratory Care Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner (RCP) and will be responsible for performing various respiratory care procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer oxygen supply systems and equipment processing
  • Perform manual resuscitation and oxygen administration
  • Deliver humidity and aerosol therapy, small volume nebulizer therapy, and MDI administration
  • Conduct incentive spirometry and non-invasive mechanical airway clearance therapy
  • Perform chest physiotherapy with suctioning and arterial puncture
  • Conduct electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, if performed by the hiring institution
  • Document patient information and reporting

Requirements:

  • Training in Clinical Respiratory Therapy
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • College Courses in Respiratory Therapy Required
  • Respiratory Care Assistant Certification Required
  • Basic Life Support Certification Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification Required

Work Schedule:

7a-7p, with weekend and call requirements as needed
