As a Physician within our organization, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, efficient, and patient-focused medical care to a diverse patient population. Your work will encompass various settings, including outpatient and inpatient care, where you will have the opportunity to significantly enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and services in line with established protocols.
- Support the mission and objectives of the University of Maryland Medical System through effective written communication.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Oversee the administrative functions of non-physician personnel.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in budget planning and management.
- Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in all professional interactions.
- Encourage positive relationships with patients and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in disease management initiatives to enhance care delivery.
Education and Experience
- Possession of a valid Maryland medical license and Board Certification in the relevant specialty.
- DEA certification or equivalent for the prescription of controlled substances.
- Clinical privileges at an affiliated acute care facility.
- Fulfillment of Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for licensure and board certification.
- Relevant experience and qualifications pertinent to the role.
Skills and Competencies
Strong communication abilities to effectively interact with healthcare staff, patients, and visitors.
