Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pain Medicine Specialist to join our team in the Pain Clinic at Mann-Grandstaff VAMC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in managing and assisting other providers in caring for Veterans with pain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing leadership within our team to ensure optimal and efficient Veteran-centered healthcare.
  • Diagnosing and treating complex chronic pain problems.
  • Making and implementing sound and reasonable decisions and having responsibility for patient outcomes.
  • Ordering, performing, reviewing, analyzing, and following up on appropriate diagnostic/laboratory test results, including any registries necessary to monitor and support the patient's medication therapy, and communicating findings to patients and other providers.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
