Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a FPGA Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing FPGA designs for various applications, including gigabit serial interfaces, Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-Optical (EO) Digital Signal Processing (DSP), control loops, data links, embedded processing, and processor interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop FPGA designs using VHDL and Verilog coding languages
  • Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, select parts, architect the device, perform code development, simulation, and place and route
  • Verify designs against requirements using directed test and constrained random methodologies
  • Document and configuration manage designs throughout the entire design process
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Experience with VHDL or Verilog coding
  • Experience with one of the following FPGAs: AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microchip/Microsemi
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • ABET accreditation
  • Experience with tool flows in Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Microchip Libero
  • Knowledge of C programming and scripting languages such as Python
  • Interest in embedded systems design utilizing Microblaze, Nios, and ARM processors
