Nursing Instructor

Rhodes State College is seeking a highly qualified Nursing Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for developing curricula and teaching Practical Nursing Program courses, as well as completing course assessments and student evaluations.

• Develop and teach Practical Nursing Program courses, including didactic, distance education, laboratory, and off-campus clinical instruction.
• Provide 10 office hours per week for student advising, curriculum development, online course development/delivery, textbook review/selection, and assessment activities.
• Engage in 12 hours of professional and community service, including attending faculty and curriculum meetings, participation in professional development, mentoring adjunct instructors, serving on campus committees, and community activities.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for our diverse student population.
• Implement the philosophy and conceptual framework of the Nursing Program.
• Maintain appropriate professional certifications and licenses as applicable.
• Be willing to teach in other nursing courses as needed.
• Understand and commit to the Rhodes State College mission and two-year college instruction.
• Actively engage in student success and completion initiatives within a comprehensive student support design.
• Commit to nursing education professional development.

• Two or more years' experience in nursing care of the acutely and/or chronically ill.
• Ability to organize activities and maximize student learning outcomes.
• Knowledge of accrediting bodies appropriate to nursing education programs.
• Ability to deliver instruction via distance education and accommodate academic schedules to meet student needs.

• Previous teaching experience in a Practical Nursing Program or at a two-year college level.

• Masters' of Science in Nursing (MSN).
• Registered Nursing, Licensed in the State of Ohio.
