We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Paramedic to join our team at McWane, Inc. in Anniston, AL. As a Plant Paramedic, you will be responsible for developing and delivering occupational health services, assisting in planning and implementing health maintenance and education programs, and contributing to the design of health controls and medical surveillance relative to toxic or hazardous conditions in the work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement occupational health services, including emergency care, health assessments, and referrals.
- Assist in planning and implementing health maintenance and education programs for employees.
- Contribute to the design of health controls and medical surveillance guidelines for actual and potential toxic or hazardous conditions in the work environment.
- Provide individual counseling sessions to employees on health maintenance and medical issues.
- Collaborate with other on-site members of the occupational safety and health team, occupational medicine physician(s), workers compensation administrator, safety engineers, management, and union representatives.
- High School diploma required.
- Completion of an accredited paramedic program required.
- Six (6) months previous Paramedic experience required.
- Valid State of Alabama Paramedics License and current American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/1st Aid certification required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and a strong background working with computers.
- Knowledge of State of Alabama Workers Compensation Program.
