Registered Nurse Coordinator for Chemotherapy Infusion

Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Coordinator to join our team in the Chemotherapy Center. As a key member of our oncology team, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily clinical activities of the treatment room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise the activities of the staff to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality and safe health care.
- Provide direct supervision over assigned staff, including hiring, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing staff educational development.
- Organize and prioritize clinical responsibilities of the infusion suite, ensuring the safe delivery of care to patients requiring continuous chemotherapy infusion.
- Participate in creating and maintaining chemotherapy order entry programs, protocols, and inventory management.
- Assist in ensuring the environment of care and unit organization is conducive to promoting safe, effective, and appropriate practice for patients and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- NY RN license required.
- Associates degree or diploma in Nursing with at least 5 years of oncology experience and OCN required.
- BSN strongly preferred.
- Fluent knowledge and adherence to ONS standards required.
- High Reliability Training (HRO) required within 6 months of employment.
The Registered Nurse Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment with some manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity required. The position involves some occupational risk and requires the ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force. The physical environment is generally pleasant, and the company offers a competitive salary range of $72.83 hourly.
