Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced Outbound Supervisor with a proven track record in overseeing daily shipping operations within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in ensuring prompt and precise shipments, nurturing employee growth, and upholding safety and compliance standards.

Role Responsibilities

As the Outbound Supervisor, you will manage and direct the daily functions of our shipping teams, both domestic and international, while ensuring adherence to company policies and operational procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Oversight: Supervise daily shipping activities by delegating tasks and ensuring timely and accurate completion, in line with company protocols and client expectations.
  • Delivery Coordination: Oversee end-of-day shipment deliveries using company vehicles.
  • Staff Development: Engage in the recruitment process, provide training for new hires, and offer continuous development for existing team members. Promote a positive work environment through effective coaching and motivation.
  • Safety Management: Uphold and advocate for safety regulations to ensure a secure workplace.
  • Compliance Assurance: Guarantee adherence to ISO standards and relevant regulations within the shipping department.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Policy Formulation: Develop and implement strategies aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Leadership Engagement: Work closely with departmental managers and the executive team to drive operational success.

Qualifications

  • Availability: Must be willing to work core hours from 12 PM to 9 PM.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred, or at least three years of experience in shipping and logistics, including a minimum of one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Familiarity with shipping procedures and regulations, particularly in international logistics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Must be at least 26 years old for insurance purposes.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and alternate between sitting, walking, and standing for up to eight hours daily.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in a warehouse setting with moderate noise levels.
