About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Record and track patients' assessment progress and discharge status in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care interventions and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Client Education: Educate clients on injury prevention, treatment, and overall health promotion, empowering them to take control of their well-being.
  • Treatment Sessions: Observe and analyze patients during treatment sessions, providing personalized care and support.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with new treatments and research developments, ensuring you remain at the forefront of your field.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Recreation Therapist.
  • Certification: Certification as a Recreation Therapist by the California Board of Parks or Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
  • Licenses: Valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
