AOV Technician

Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is seeking a skilled Air Operated Valve Tester to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of air operated valves in our facilities.

• Perform functional and post-maintenance diagnostic testing, corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air operated valves.
• Position, stroke, and thrust outputs to meet prescribed design and vendor specifications for seating, seating force, stroke length, and position control.
• Review work orders for technical correctness and address any discrepancies.
• Identify clearance requirements and implement the clearance process per procedure.
• Perform work tasks as required by work orders and document the steps performed.
• Review documentation to ensure work order entries are correct and complete.
• Perform diagnostic testing as dictated by customer requirements.
• Ensure employees' and co-workers' personal safety and prevent damage to plant equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and build repair plans based on that troubleshooting.
• Implement First Time Quality.
• Conduct the above-listed functions within the procedural parameters set forth by the customer/contractor.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 5 years' experience in diagnostic testing as well as Air Operated Valve (AOV) and actuator/valve maintenance.
• Completion of at least two outages as a diagnostic tester.
• Navy Nuclear background with maintenance or equivalent experience and training in Reactor Operations or Maintenance a plus.
• Pass and maintain Fitness for Duty requirements.
• Satisfactory performance rating for previous work (based on client and contractor feedback).
