Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Immigration Supervising Attorney to join our team. As a Supervising Attorney, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our immigration staff attorneys and paralegals. You will also be responsible for preparing and delivering community education, conducting outreach, and participating in bar activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor immigration staff attorneys and paralegals to ensure high-quality work and adherence to best practices.
  • Prepare and deliver community education programs to promote awareness of immigration laws and services.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to build relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Participate in bar activities and contribute to the development of immigration law and policy.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and address the needs of our clients and community.

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the Florida Bar Association.
  • Eight years of experience in Immigration law is preferred.
  • Experience with supervising staff.
  • Experience serving low-income individuals, victims of crime, veterans, or other marginalized communities is preferred but not required.
  • A demonstrable awareness and sensitivity to the needs of the populations we serve.
  • Ability to work effectively with a large caseload and function professionally within a highly stressful environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently at times and also as an effective part of a team, including other attorneys, support staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work constructively with others.
  • The ability to speak more than one language is a plus.
