Job Title: Property Claims Specialist - Farm and Construction Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving property and casualty claims with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

* Investigate and evaluate property damage liability claims, including commercial, residential, and farm-related damages.
* Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of various types of buildings, construction methods, repair cost estimating systems, and scoping damages.
* Provide training and guidance to colleagues on repair estimating systems and damage assessment techniques.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and equitable resolution of claims within company contractual and legal obligations.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in construction trades, agriculture-related studies, business administration, or insurance-related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 5-7 years of multi-line or property claims experience required.
* Advanced knowledge of insurance contracts, company policies, and procedures is essential.
* Excellent listening and customer service skills are mandatory.
* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and access to high-speed internet at home (for field-based positions).
* Professional designations in INS, AIC, or similar insurance designations are preferred.

Work Environment

This is a work-from-home position primarily covering Michigan counties such as Arenac, Bay, Clinton, Genesee, Gratiot, Huron, Ingham, Ionia, Lapeer, Mecosta, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Tuscola. If a suitable candidate is not identified, a Property Claims Representative may be considered based on level of experience.

Compensation Details

The estimated salary for this role is between $71,577 and $89,471 per year.
