Job Summary
UC San Diego Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Magnet designated organization, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide autonomous nursing care to patients, exercising independent judgment and expertise in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and promote a culture of safety.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire, with commitment to obtain ART certification within six months.
- Minimum one year of recent acute care experience in adult GI procedural nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree.
- Relevant specialty certification (e.g. CEN, TNCC, CGRN).
Employment Details
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
Compensation
Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (prorated if appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $59.34 - $83.17.
