Location: Walton Hills, OH
Pay Range: $19-$22/hour with a .75 shift differential
Hours: 3rd shift working Monday 6am-10am, Monday-Wednesday night 10pm-10am
Contract to Hire Role

Overview - Responsible for setting up and managing the extrusion line to manufacture plastic sheets that adhere to customer specifications and dimensions as outlined in work orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, configure, operate, and oversee machinery that extrudes thermoplastics to fulfill customer requirements and specifications according to work orders.
  • Load raw materials into the extruder and modify feed mechanisms to establish appropriate feed rates.
  • Manipulate controls to activate and adjust the extrusion process.
  • Monitor machine operations, control panels, and gauges to identify any defective materials or machine issues.
  • Utilize the correct procedures to halt the machine upon completion of processes or detection of malfunctions.
  • Ensure meticulous completion of work orders and production documentation.
  • Maintain constant mental alertness while operating the machine to prevent injuries.
  • Participate in training for various roles on the production floor to gain a comprehensive understanding of all processes.
  • Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a machine operator, preferably in a plastic manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience with extrusion and knowledge of the plastic sheet extrusion process is advantageous.
  • Ability to read measuring tools and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Capacity to lift and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs (over 50 lbs with assistance).
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
