The Technical Infrastructure team at Google is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the company's network and AI infrastructure across its data center footprint. As a highly experienced leader, you will be responsible for leading a distributed team of technical program managers and infrastructure engineers to accelerate time to market and advance the state of the art of technical infrastructure.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Director with a strong technical background in large-scale networks and data centers to lead cross-functional teams. Your experience should include managing technical projects, process optimization, program management, and cross-functional influence at leadership level. You will collaborate with our partners across data center, networking, and supply chain organizations to deliver quality infrastructure and capacity in support of internal and external customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for large, complex, cross-functional program teams that transform how we operate by inspiring teams to challenge the status quo across our strategies, processes, and systems.
- Increase the organization's operational maturity of our planning, engineering, and execution across the organization.
- Identify process gaps, align across teams to scale processes while ensuring the smooth deployment of quality infrastructure and capacity in support of the needs of both internal and external customers.
- Build strong partnerships across the technical infrastructure ecosystem which includes our planning, engineering, delivery, and operations counterparts in the data center, supply chain, networking, and platform engineering organizations.
