Clinical Genetics Position (Full-time, Day Shift)

  • Conduct and analyze moderate to high complexity genetic tests
  • Document findings in accordance with established protocols
  • Oversee pending test lists to ensure timely reporting
  • Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, residents, and fellow staff members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological or Clinical Laboratory Science
  • Master's Degree in Genetics or Biological Sciences is preferred
  • A minimum of four years of professional experience in cytogenetics
  • Possession of a valid Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist license or Clinical Laboratory Scientist license in the State of California

Skills and Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of cytogenetics and molecular cytogenetics
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation
