Job Title: Network Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Project Manager to assist with implementing core network infrastructure hardware, software, and overseeing various hardware, software, and infrastructure implementations of IT solutions at all NYC Health Department locations. The ideal candidate will have strong program/project management skills, infrastructure design skills, and experience in network architecture, protocols, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements to network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address issues that may arise during the course of network projects.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for both hardware and software, evaluate technical solutions, and ensure IT projects meet technical IT specifications and standards.
  • Work with internal and external network architects and engineers to design scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures that meet organizational requirements.
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and testing of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Implement security measures such as access controls, encryption, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, backup strategies, and redundant network configurations to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of network failures or disasters.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure the successful deployment of network infrastructure.

  • Relevant certifications (PMP, PMI, CCNA)
