Substance Abuse Therapist/Case Manager/UF Health Shands/Full-Time Position

As a qualified professional or licensed psychotherapist in substance use disorders, you will be part of the UF Health Shands interdisciplinary team specializing in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with substance use disorders and their families. Your responsibilities will include managing caseloads, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating discharge/follow-up care. You will also initiate and facilitate communication with referral source professionals and other collateral professionals involved in assigned cases. This role requires a high degree of professionalism and independence, as well as the ability to work effectively as an individual, group, and family therapist under clinical supervision.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A Master's or Ph.D. in a mental health-related field is required. Non-licensed individuals must have a minimum of one year of clinically supervised experience, with a preference in substance abuse disorders or co-occurring disorders. Supervised clinical internship during graduate school qualifies towards the one year. Experience working in addictions and/or behavioral health co-occurring disorders is recommended. Computer skills are required. Recovery professionals must have a minimum of three years of continuous sobriety immediately preceding and concurrent with the hire date.

Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'. If qualifying as a licensed mental health professional, a Florida license in a mental health field as a LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Clinical Psychologist is required. If non-licensed, being license-eligible in the State of Florida is necessary.
