Objective

The primary goal of this position is to efficiently set up and operate designated foil machinery. This role involves overseeing the manufacturing processes linked to the assigned equipment, focusing on productivity, quality assurance, safety, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter precise data into the job tracking system
  • Label materials accurately with the correct identification
  • Adhere to quality control protocols and seek clarification when necessary
  • Skillfully set up and execute all scoring, perforating, die cutting, embossing, foil stamping, and combinations of these operations
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of the Dimuken Hologram Applicator and other small machinery
  • Organize and maintain tools and supplies systematically
  • Exhibit flexibility in work hours and be available for overtime as required
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience. Willingness to train the right candidate is available.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and minimizing waste
  • Collaborative team player with effective organizational skills
  • Proficient in technical problem-solving
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret job jackets and layouts
  • Capable of reading and understanding operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and safety regulations
  • Competent in using computer software and operating systems
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic operations in various units of measure
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

  • Work is conducted in a shop floor setting where conditions may vary in temperature and noise levels typical of a print manufacturing environment
  • Extended periods of standing are required
  • Occasional walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching may be necessary
  • Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. is expected
  • Involves contact with inks and cleaning chemicals
