Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Ochsner Health System is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Assess patients before, during, and after administering anesthesia
- Ensure patient safety and administer anesthesia following accepted practice techniques
- Act as a liaison to surgeons, anesthesiologists, co-workers, patients, and families
- Participate in department quality assurance initiatives and activities of professional development
- Master's degree from a school of nurse anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice
- Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases.
There may be an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
