Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CBHC Psychiatrist to join our team at Advocates. As a key member of our Community Behavioral Health Center, you will provide expert psychiatric care and support to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans for individuals served by Advocates CBHC.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment strategies.
  • Prescribe and monitor medication as needed, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor treatment progress and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in medicine (MD) or osteopathic medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted DEA and MA Controlled Substance Registrations.
  • Ability to maintain professional liability insurance coverage of a minimum of $1,000,000/$3,000,000.
  • Satisfactory report from the National Practitioner Data Bank and absence of Medicare/Medicaid sanctions.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Ability to read and speak English; bi-/tri-lingual (English/Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and telehealth technology.
