POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing in the Care Center, the Nursing Supervisor will assist in managing and coordinating high-quality resident care, supervising nursing personnel, assessing critical situations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies. This position requires self-direction, creativity, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Administers prescribed medications and monitors patient conditions
- Conducts regular rounds to ensure resident welfare
- Regularly assesses critical residents as needed
- Promptly evaluates incidents involving residents and manages documentation
- Assists during emergencies, alerts appropriate personnel, and documents actions taken
- Supports nursing staff, ensures quality care, and provides direct patient assistance
- Reports equipment malfunctions or shortages without delay
- Fills in for absent staff to maintain continuity of care
- Ensures timely resident care and meal support
- Engages in ongoing education to enhance professional skills
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High school diploma and completion of a Registered Nurse Training program
Formal Training: Competence in management functions such as planning, organizing, and effective communication
Licensure and Certifications: Must possess and maintain an active Georgia Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support CPR certification
Work Experience: Ideally one to two years of relevant experience or training
Tools and Equipment Utilized: Calculator, personal computer, telephone, facsimile machine, printer, and standard nursing tools
